I'm sick as a dog today. I have a ton of work today and every part of me aches, but I might as well be miserable at my desk rather than in bed.

Laid my 102 year old, WWII pilot dad to rest on Friday. I was fortunate to have a wonderful relationship with him my entire life. He was a great father, a great man and a great guy.

I am sorry for your loss. You were blessed with so much history. May his memory be a blessing.

Thanks guys - he had a proper send-off with all family in from across the country, and a 3-volley salute from an Air Force Honor Guard, including the solemn flag folding ceremony. Everyone had an anecdote, it was sad and joyous. I could only hope for half as much.

I am sorry for your loss, yet I am also envious. If my father were still alive, he’d be about the same age.

Hope things are going as well as they can.

Anyone else remember Robbie Keane doing the same thing at USC in '88? We were all set to beat USC at the Coliseum, last play of the game, he was a pre-season All-American, and then- he kicked dirt. Soooooo painful. Game ended in a tie (back when that happened). Beach Boys concert in the stadium afterwards was fun at least.

Camera cut didn’t do him any favors. Cut out that the holder screwed up putting the ball down/bobble.

So we have to kill all the narco terrorists, except the ones that have been legally convicted in a court of law. What out of control administration we have.

HOW WAS YOUR THANKSGIVING? (continued)

i forgot to respond even though i intended to.

nice Italian meal at a nice Italian restaurant here in Rome. the 2 kids were there in addition to each one bringing a friend.

in typical long-Italian-meal style we had them bring out the pasta (primi) and meat (secondi) separately so that we could stretch out the meal and have more food options. also, we had everything family style as one does on Thxgiving.

aside from everything being good, the best thing was probably the in-season Roman artichokes - Carciofi alla Romana. going to try making that at the apartment one of these days.
