Wife's request for a transfer to Paris was denied. Looks like I'm Portugal-bound instead in 2027. The upside is that I'll get to see some Cal games in 2026.
My brother is currently at his condo in Maui until mid December . I wrote and told him he needed to stay a bit longer but he wrote back and said he still plans to be at my nephew’s new house near Tahoe then.
Traveling a few blocks to my sister-in-law's for our annual Christmas Eve festivities which start at 5:00. Cal's bowl game literally couldn't be at a worse time. I know that's true for a few other Bear fans I've talked to.
flew into Vienna this morning and drove straight to Bratislava (Slovakia) only an hour away. in fact it was the same highway to Budapest another 3 hours further.
first time in Slovakia. we are staying old neighbors of ours for the weekend.
their idea is to go to Vienna all day tomorrow. this is fine because we hear that the Xmas markets there are almost as good as the German ones. we are going to those markets next week, so stay tuned for that.
we are staying in Vienna on Sun night so hopefully we can find some classical music to go to.
i had almost bought tix to the Vienna Philharmonic tonight to see Yuja Wang play a piano concerto. turns out that she had to be replaced on the program at the last minute, so maybe good that i never got around to it.
i am sure something else will reveal itself as on option. just not sure about Sun night though.
I never had one but did have friends that had one. I always tried to make a circle, but never even got close. They were usually more like hexagons or octogons.
Sketchup was great free software for 3D printing, and was connected to a large library of models, including the Campanile! I used it a lot for a few years, until my printer died. Never got a new one.

Possible away games for 2026: Syracuse. No to UNLV and BYU. Maybe to NC State or UVA.
Scheduled for May: London, Finland and Sweden. Going to a premier league match, visiting family and seeing Stockholm for the first time in decades.
