The Kaaba in Mecca is where observant Muslims pray toward. Access to Saudi Arabia is restricted. And then there are restrictions on being able to actually see the Kaaba. And there is almost no pictures of what's inside the Kaaba. Apparently, some guy didn't get the memo and he took a video inside. Here's what it looks like inside.
I really like pickled red onions on things. I do not like cukes or pickled cukes at all. My brothers used to love to sit next to me at any burger joint as I'd always pass over my pickles.
Also, if you're not a fan of pickled onions, soaking them in water for a few minutes up to 30 minutes takes the sulfur edge off of them and makes them less sharp. The red onion haters in my family are fine with them this way.
This schedule is definitely front loaded. 5 consecutive Saturdays beginning Aug 31. There are 14 Saturdays from August 31 to November 30. So, two byes somewhere in October and November.
But this is not the same OSU. New HC. They're graduating a bunch and have transfers out at key positions. They still have Damien Martinez, but they'll be a shadow of what they were this year.
BERKELEY – The California men's basketball team will face an undefeated Ole Miss squad Saturday at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio as part of the 2023 Hall of Fame Series. The neutral-site contest – played at the home of the San Antonio Spurs – will tip off at 4:30 p.m. PST/6:30 p.m. CST on SEC Network and is part of a tripleheader that includes North Carolina State vs. Tennessee and a women's matchup between Baylor and Miami.
BERKELEY – The California women's basketball team will play its sixth of 10 consecutive home games Friday when it hosts Eastern Washington at Haas Pavilion at 11:30 a.m. PT. The game is part of the program's annual School Haas Rock event, which serves as an opportunity to entertain and educate local youth at the elementary and middle school levels and bring them into a university setting.
Scott Van Pelt picks Cal and points over Red Raiders. I am not sure if I like that he picked us to win and has a winning record of picking us or am a bit mad that he was smarmy and dismissive of Cal. I'll choose glass half full, I guess.

Judge rules that multi-transfer student-athletes don't have to sit a year. If this sticks, it will mean full blown free agency at the college level. One again, a pox on former NCAA Presdient Mark Emmert for creating this chaos.
this is going to ultimately lead to collective bargaining and revenue sharing. Question is, does fubaw split off to become properly professional or does fiddling with Title IX figure out a way to spread the primarily football based wealth across all sports

Jack Smith goes to SCOTUS to gauge interest on whether Presidential Immunity is a thing. SCOTUS says they're ready to hear it. Meanwhile, Judge Chutkan pauses DC case against Trump, which could threaten March trail start date.
There are new details on some older new. In testimony leaked to WaPo, Powell, Ellis, Chesebro, and Hall offered testimony for the GA voting interference case. In it, they give mixed testimony as to whether Trump actually believed he won; regardless, he was not going to leave office so was grasping at straws as to how to hold onto power. They went round and round brainstorming ideas, some dumber than others. The all wanted to keep a line with Trump that all of these ideas were dubious, but then Chesebro broke ranks with everyone else and pushed the fake electors plan crated by John Eastman. Trump loved the idea and so off they went to destroy Democracy. The fake electors knew what they were doing was not legal and wanted a tissue paper of protection. Ironically, it was Chesebro who fought to have some language to try to protect them. Chesebro said he said the plot was to buy time, but Trump wanted a full coup.

Mine isn't. I mean, my cat. Not my pickle.
Pretty much a fan of all forms of pickled vegetables. Oddly, I loathe cucumbers but love pickled cucumbers.
I really like pickled red onions on things. I do not like cukes or pickled cukes at all. My brothers used to love to sit next to me at any burger joint as I'd always pass over my pickles.
Yes, one of my favorites! If I had to rank top 3, pickled red onions and achaar would be tied for first, with sauerkraut taking a close third place.
I share your love of pickled red onions. Go great on tacos.
Good tip. Have never tried pickled onions of any color in tacos, but I can see how they could be good.
Recently discovered pickled red onions are great with mashed potatoes!

Pickled carrots are great. They don't go all mushy like cukes, are less porous so absorb less vinegar, and their sweetness helps balance the vinegar.
Best nickname in sports, Shark's Vlasic's nickname is pickles.

Still, that team will probably be fired up. Bears better come prepared.

I hesitate to state this out loud, but he is starting to remind me more and more of Marshawn. *turns three times, spit, spit spit*

Also, the SEC does not like to travel. Specifically Auburn has 8 home games.
including I think 5 in a row. If we did that we'd have 3 people in the stadium by the fourth game.
If they published the game times early and gave the families some notice and a few nooners, we’d have double digit fans, easy!
Besides myself I know of four other people who would be there no matter what so you should revise the estimate upwards. Maybe as many as ten.
And we'd finish 2-3 in that span. L/W/L/L/W
If we win the first 2, we might be able to fill 80% of the stadium in game 3, but a game 3 loss would bring it down to 3 ppl in the fourth game.

Of course. Forcing football players to sit a year due to a transfer is de facto restraint of trade.
I'm not sure I blame Emmert, though. Once the toothpaste is out of the tube, it's hard if not impossible to put it back in.

My big takeaway from this nonsense is that Electoral College must be abolished. That would remove an avenue for shenanigans like this in the future.
Direct election: each state verifies and certifies its election returns to the Speaker of the House.
