The first Big Game I saw in person was the 1972 Big Game, the first one of Mike White's 6-year tenure at Cal. QB Vince Ferragamo hit Steve Rivera in the back of the South End Zone on the last play of the game to defeat Stanford, 24-21. There was no extra point.

It was also a mud bowl type of game. It had rained most of the week in Berkeley and as the game progressed, the uniforms acquired more mud. You knew the punters and kickers by their pristine uniforms.

Maybe this falls under government stuff. I thought it was a no no to say happy holidays but that we were supposed to say merry Christmas. The seasonal display near the bust of JFK in the Kennedy Center says happy holidays. I guess Trump and his cronies didn’t get the memo.

Las Vegas Raiders stiff armed in Philadelphia, lose 8th straight

https://www.silverandblackpride.com/las-vegas-raiders-scores-results/117053/las-vegas-raiders-stiff-armed-in-philadelphia-lose-8th-straight

The depths despair for the Silver & Black plunged to a new level on Sunday.

Try this: 42 total plays for a grand total of 75 yards.

That’s the Las Vegas Raiders’ production while the host Philadelphia Eagles racked up 387 yards on 66 total plays. Thus, the end result being a 31-0 Raiders loss wasn’t surprising. The defeat not only marks Las Vegas’ eighth-straight loss, but also the ninth double-digit demise.

https://www.goldenstateofmind.com/general/106212/warriors-waste-steph-currys-amazing-48-point-performance-in-loss-to-blazers

The Golden State Warriors wasted an amazing performance from Steph Curry in a 136-131 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night, falling to 13-14 on the season. The Dubs have lost two consecutive games where Curry played like one of the best five players in the NBA. It is a stunning indictment of the organization, including his teammates.

Boy, the Warriors just cannot play defense anymore.

They also don't have any servicable athletic wings that can drive and make a play. At least one that they are willing to give playing time to.
