I have taken the next step in my life. I've gotten two different cook jobs - one at a greasy spoon and one at a five-star restaurant working for a six-time nominated James Beard Award chef. The former is chill but has a low ceiling. The latter is crazy stressful as I do a yes-chef job, but I'll learn a lot. With 3 jobs and a 1.5x school workload next semester, you'll see HSB and HAG be the new leaders of DBD starting in January. I may hate this next step, but that's the beauty of it all - I don't have to do it if I don't like it.
Challenge Accepted!! Though I can't populate the politics stuff like you can.
Good luck with the chef-ing. It is something that I kinda thought about, but more for fun (though I know there is no such thing as fun as a pro chef). Though after hearing what you're going through not sure I want to subject myself to that.
This might have been a good idea in our household - 24 years ago. CJ was 8 years old that Christmas. We got the usual Doug Fir tree that year. He had an allergic reaction bordering on asthmatic. The following year we went with an artificial tree.
I don't drink much anymore, so alcohol affects me more. I think the best beer is after a stressful situation/week and - no matter where it is - you can literally feel the alcohol relaxing effects - unshrug my shoulders, relax my jaw, and quit looking to do something do. And I don't need a second beer - just staying in that moment of slightly more relaxed state is all I want.

When looking at the Stranger Things season 4 episodes in Netflix in preparation for season 5, I realized that I missed the last few episodes. Not sure how I didn't finish season 4 since I watched it when it all dropped. So now I'm trying to start around episode 5 and rewatch. I'm slowly remembering things as I watch but I think I'm just going to finish it all before I start season 5.

He's clearly off in his own world. Too bad that he occupies the most powerful office in the world and is diminishing it by the day.
