Would you have preferred to lose to Stanford, and not need to be bothered with a bowl game? (Asking for a friend whose team wishes they had a bowl game to worry about.)
I’m sure the LA Bowl folks were not excited to see him go to portal given its likely impact on fan enthusiasm for this game. It’s weird the portal starts now, should be after bowl season
I'm convinced that there is no leadership within the NCAA administrative structure. If there were, opening the portal while in bowl season wouldn't happen. The portal wouldn't open until January, after the CFP had concluded.
LAS VEGAS -- With the Boston Celtics on pace to shatter the NBA's record for 3-pointers attempted by a team, and with 3s being up across the league this season, NBA commissioner Adam Silver said Tuesday night the league is studying the trend.
He also said criticisms of offenses becoming "cookie cutter" and that teams are copying each other is something he thinks the league should take seriously.
Silver would be wise to see how both sides of the ball affect the equation. My non expert opinion: The inability to play tough, physical defense has contributed to this. Prior to the Pistons winning in the championship in 2004, and the many rules changes that came as a consequence, it was possible for a team that wasn't the most dynamic on offense to win with tough, physical defense. Limiting defensive players from hand checking and the focus on high scoring games has undoubtedly contributed to teams becoming one dimensional.
If anything, they should stop calling the foul-baiting calls. Harden, SGA, looking at you. Don't think Harden has been as bad the last couple of years.
LAS VEGAS -- After finishing his postgame news conference, his NBA Cup MVP award to his left and a smile across his face, Giannis Antetokounmpo continued to soak in the moment.
"Oh man, what a feeling," he said. "What a great feeling. I'll see you guys again, I promise."
No 2 was frustrated. He was at his mom's and couldn't watch the game legally on her TV. We have Xfinity cable but he couldn't watch using the XFinity streaming app because he wasn't at home. It was on ABC, which usually ESPN app streams, but it required ESPN +. The only way he could do it was watch it on abc.com on his laptop but didn't have a chromecast on her TV to show it on her TV.

Not to be a downer, I think this is the least excited I've been for a bowl game ever. :(

It's purely created for sickos and gamblers only.
We were thinking of going down and when Nando said he was leaving, we decided to just not drive down and sit home and watch the dumpster fire.

And just like that it's LA Bowl this evening. Early a.m. in bed, I grabbed the Ipad to confirm it.
900p ET is late!
Go Bears, beat the Rebels!!!

Why did ESPN/NBA make it so hard to watch?

Speaking of funny bowl game names, I still don't know what Beef O'Brady is. I don't think I care to.
Many of their offerings feature beef.
Cross between Red Robin & Claimjumpers as best as I can describe it. What's not to like about that?
Midwestern (?) chain. I've never been so I'm not sure what type of food they have.

Isn't Washington State a current Pac-X member? I don't understand identifying Washington State as a "future Pac-X member".
Reference is to the reconstituted actual conference year after next, with an as yet to be determined number of teams.
That's a solid hire. That's too bad for us.
But I wonder if there's a more P4 job than the Wakes one. Small school. Small alumni. No real football tradition at all.
But we've got Nick Rolovich now. That counts for something, right?
