Raiders in the drivers seat to screw up Fernando Mendoza

Niners win a barn burner at home against the Bears 42-38. Purdy's goalline scramble and jumpback pass ends in a TD. Caleb Williams erstwhile game winning goalline scramble and jumpback pass with no time left goes incomplete.

Seven receptions including one for a touchdown!

Niners punted once in last night's game, breaking an 0-for-December streak.

Also, 49ers have outscored opponents in December 127-89. While their defense hasn't been exactly stalwart, the offense has put up 16 TDs and 5 FGs across three games.

Over that same span, Seattle has outscored its opponents, 83-63, and the LA Rams have outscored their opponents 123-89.

All three teams could finish 13-4 in the regular season, which is truly amazing. The NFC West appears to be this year's toughest division in the NFL.

So ACC. Some very good stuff, but for every good thing there is an ugly bad thing.

Whittingham to Michigan. How did Utah fumble that bag so badly?

He's probably my favorite active non-Cal coach right now. He carries himself like a throw-back coach that runs a squeaky-clean program. I hope he does well.

I believe Morgan Scalley was named the head coach in waiting a few years back and Whit made it fairly public he didn't want to coach forever but then kept coaching, and coaching well, longer than Scalley anticipated. There was a clear risk to Utah of losing Scalley.

When Michigan came knocking, it sounds like Utah chose the next 5-10+ years of Scalley over a few years of Whit and losing Scalley.

Utah wanted to spend less and Michigan can and will overspend.

What about Jack Endries?

Might put him down as "the same." Fewer targets, but roughly the same production per catch and playing for a better team.

Unusual intro for DBD, but after all, anything goes!
