Spent about 3-4 hours changing the spark plugs on No 3's WRX. Major PITA with so little room between the plugs and the body of the car. Now that I've done it once, I can do it probably in 45-60 min.
I could do it. Though I think one or two were replaced when the mechanic fixed the other issue. I'll have to check the paperwork. If they did two, I could do the others just so that they're all done at the same time. It was the passenger side ignition coil that was bad so they might have replaced the 2 plugs on that side.
I just heard the guy across the street got his Tesla stolen. The ring camera showed a car creeping by. 5 seconds later it rolled back and the lights blipped on, the guy got in, and drove off. Had some sort of scanner or something and acted like the keyfob.
Wikipedia said that Patriots' Day is a specific day (April 19) "...commemorating the date of the Battles of Lexington and Concord and the larger Battle of Menotomy in 1775,..."
Tempus fugit: Coincidentally, Mrs Slug and I were married on April 19, 1986.
Having run the marathon a few times I knew it is always run on the third Monday. (Red Sox always play a late morning start.) But I didn’t know the background of the holiday. The holiday is April 19 and commemorates the first battle of the revolution. Four states celebrate on the actual date and four on the third Monday.
Good day for running with cool temps and a light tailwind so Korir ran a course record.

Culinary Class Wars Season 2 (19/19 Netflix). Korean cooking show competition that is really really good. I always enjoy it, but one thing is that it's hard to have the show on while also doing something else. There is english dubbing but I feel like it's best watching it in Korean (similar to watching the original Iron Chef in Japanese before they started dubbing it in English). So I have to have the CC in English and have to pay attention to what is going on.
Possibly a better strategy would have been, for the 2nd or 3rd guess, choose a word to eliminate more letters and not worry about matching the existing letters. But it's hard to resist guessing a word that might be right.
BERKELEY — The California baseball team dropped the final game of its series with Louisville on Sunday as the Cardinals avoided the sweep with a 8-5 win to snap the Golden Bears' five-game conference win streak.
SACRAMENTO – The No. 9 California women's rowing team had a strong finish on Sunday morning at the Big Ten Invitational at Lake Natoma, with the Golden Bears' varsity eight posting a runner-up finish in its flight behind No. 1 Stanford. Cal finished the course in 6:12.222 to notch its second V8+ win over the Huskies of the weekend after outdistancing Washington in its flight yesterday.
WALNUT/AZUSA – The California track & field team finished a four-day stretch of competition Saturday with stellar performances at both the Mt. SAC Relays and the Bryan Clay Invitational, posting a trio of all-time program top-five marks as well as a pair of top-three finishes in stacked fields.
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Nine members of the California men's gymnastics team closed out their season in front of a raucous crowd at State Farm Arena on Saturday, rotating as individuals with the six qualifying squads – Stanford, Michigan, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Ohio State and Illinois – each vying for a national title at the NCAA Championships Final. At the end of the night, it was Stanford who won the team competition with a score of 329.825, followed by Oklahoma (328.495) and Michigan (324.857).
SACRAMENTO – The No. 9 California women's rowing team won its flight in the varsity eight on Saturday afternoon, defeating No. 6 Washington, No. 17 Michigan, No. 20 UCLA and Notre Dame with a time of 6:10.923 on the first day of the Big Ten Invitational on Lake Natoma.
STANFORD – The No. 7 California beach volleyball team closed out the regular season by splitting a pair of duals Saturday on the final day of the Stanford West Coast Classic.
The Golden Bears (22-11) began the day with a 5-0 loss to No. 6 Cal Poly before coming back to blank San Jose State, 5-0.
The California women's basketball team has three former Golden Bears who will be competing at a WNBA training camp starting this Sunday. Jaelyn Brown '20 will be with the Seattle Storm, Michelle Onyiah '25 is with the New York Liberty and Sakima Walker '26 will be with the Minnesota Lynx.
BERKELEY - The California rugby team defeated the Brigham Young Cougars 96-12 Saturday in the quarterfinals of the D1A National Collegiate Championships. The Bears scored 14 tries from nine different players as junior Nate Comiskey led the way with his second straight hat trick. Sophomore Filip Edstrom returned from injury, scoring two tries and going 13-for-13 on conversions.
They handed out severe beatings to Army and St Mary's as well. BYU may be having a down year. IIRC They lost 4 matches this season including one to Arizona.
But I wonder if Cal's recent endowment has created some separation form the rest of the field in terms of talent.
AZUSA/WALNUT – The California track & field team sent a quartet of middle-distance runners to race at Cougar Athletic Stadium in the Bryan Clay Invitational and a much larger contingent to Hilmer Lodge Stadium for Day 3 of the Mt. SAC Relays on Friday, crossing over into the second half of a four-day slate of competition for the Golden Bears.
CARY, N.C. — The 21st-ranked and sixth-seeded California women's tennis team fell to 13th-ranked and third-seeded NC State 4-0 in the ACC Championship quarterfinals on Friday evening to end the Golden Bears' run in the conference tournament.
CARY, N.C. - The No. 47 California men's tennis team (16-13) fell to No. 4 Virginia (20-3) 5-0 in the quarterfinals of the ACC Championship on Friday at Cary Tennis Park.
WILMINGTON, N.C. - California junior Jasmine Kahler shot a season-low 5-under 65 Thursday at the ACC Championships, finishing in a tie for eigth place with a three-day total of 5-under par 211. This is Kahler's best finish since finishing in sixth place at the Silicon Valley Showcase last month.
It had been a laborious weekend for the Giants bats. After two — count ‘em two — high intensity games in which they scored 17 total runs on 31 hits over 21 innings, the offense looked relatively exhausted in Sunday’s 3-0 loss to Washington. Spring’s bipolar nature abruptly swapped the tank-top heat of summer for an abrasive, chill-laced wind. Sunday was a day of indoor batting practice, of clubhouse breakfast buffets, of yawns in the dugout. They team had secured a series win and won three in a row. Didn’t they earn a day to just chill, to just zone out in the batter’s box and suck seeds on the bench with your cleats up? What does the good book advise? I say, unto thee: Pack all thou grinding and disciplined at-bats, thou situational contact, thou two-baggers and round -trippers and rallies and swipt bases into six days in order to rest on the seventh.
For the first time since June 28, 2022, the Dodgers have dropped two consecutive games to the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field, this time falling to Colorado 9-6 on Sunday.

Boston Marathon 2026: Kenya's John Korir, Sharon Lokedi each win men's and women's races for 2nd consecutive year
I know the Marathon is always on Monday. Is it always the 3rd Monday? Is actual Patriots day a specific day and they just celebrate on the 3rd Monday?

I'm doing hard mode. Though it's weird I don't have the asterisk. I wonder if it accidentally got turned off.
It is turned on. Maybe it only shows the asterisk when you successfully guess the word.
