I feel like that whole category is undervalued and primed for a broader comeback. Not just egg salad, but tuna salad, and chicken salad, which is the current flagbearer. Will this extend to ham salad? I doubt it, but maybe it should.
holy shit - it just occurred to me why some versions of mayonnaise like Miracle Whip or whatnot are labeled as "salad dressing" when you'd never put them on a normal lettuce-based salad. They're talking about this other type of salad.
Wow. This is a major breakthrough for me. Maybe everyone else already had this figured out, but I was today years old.
had my first client lunch today as part of new job in a technical sales role. i ordered a salad because i assume there will be more client-sales eating out in my future.
And Hathaway, a detective show from England that the missus and I watch on Britbox when we need something light. Fun show, hardly The Wire but charming.
I found it remarkable how much more compelling it is to see Shakespeare acted live than to read it. You can’t catch all the nuances but the story comes through better.
indeed. we really enjoyed going Ashland and seeing As You Like It last summer. it is hard to appreciate the comedy when reading, but acting it out makes it so much more enjoyable.
BOO. I guess they did sign Kirk Cousins, so someone else can take a beating while Nando sits and learns. Let's see if Nando sends a text to Cousins to not complete for QB1.
Can't anyone list tickets for whatever price they want on the resale sites? Nobody will buy them at this price so it's just a headline, really. But yes, if they actually expect them to sell and it's not just a publicity stunt, it is indeed insane.
The lowest-priced tickets for the final listed Thursday on the Marketplace were $10,923.85 for four seats four rows from the top of the upper deck behind a goal: Block 323, Row 23, Seats 13-16.
Flèche Wallonne results: The French golden boy becomes youngest ever winner after setting a near-record time up the famed Muy de Huy.
the guy was 19!! everyone thinks his is going to challenge Pocagar at Liege-Bastogne-Liege. my guess is that Pocagar will show the young kid who is the boss.
after all, he is the defending champ, reigning world champ, and nearing GOAT-status along w/ Eddy Merckx.
I’m definitely hearing from the Sabres fans right now because it’s been so long since they’ve been in the playoffs. But there are Rangers, Devils, and Islanders fans, too. Albany is odd as a pro sports town (which it definitely is, it’s not college sports town) because there isn’t just one clear and obvious connection like most places. It sits in the middle of the NYC, Boston, and Buffalo markets.
that sounds about right. it seems that for cycling, a little more than other sports, there is an "intelligence and intuition" that takes time to develop in addition to the raw skill.
DBD lunch
The missus made me an egg salad sandwich with cut up carrots and sliced apples.
i lke a good egg salad sandwich. i rarely make one for myself

indeed. salad sounds healthy too!

i didnt embarrass myself, so that was good too
Shakespeare
i like the fact that Patrick Stewart, who started off as a Shakespearen actor, sneaks in some Shakespeare into episodes of Star Trek
was re-watching one of those a nights ago when Data was playing King Henry V
And Hathaway, a detective show from England that the missus and I watch on Britbox when we need something light. Fun show, hardly The Wire but charming.
Mrs Slug likes it, too.
In the park.

Yup, a good production is a revelation. That's how the plays were meant to be experienced!

Will you go back? I’ve heard their attendance is way down since Covid.
Wordle et al
connections was fun today, for anyone in my general age cohort.
I’m guessing you refer to the 80’s bands. I got that for my second category even though I expect I’m a bit older. FWIW I graduated before the 80s.

word 1 - XXXXX is a strong opening guess. Unfortunately, today it was unlucky — 274 of the words in my dictionary could still be the solution.
word 2 - Great choice. XXXXX would’ve been one of my top picks. You’ve narrowed it down to only two remaining words

Apparently, my poor luck rating was an indicator that it took me five guesses to arrive at the solution. Harrumph.

Nando picked #1 by the Raiders as expected

this seems INSANE
FIFA's resale site has four tickets on sale for the World Cup final for just under $2.3 million each.

Not bad - you wanna go?
(Nah, it's not like it's Cal in the Rose Bowl or anything)

Am I wrong in thinking that riders tend to peak in their 30's? If so, why is that?
marathon runners peak later, too. I think endurance takes a long time to build up.
Newelbany, I'm curious to get your read on NHL allegiances in Albany. Are people following the Sabers or is that Rangers country?

Mets break losing streak. HAG's No 1 child was there and sending updates
Whew, they broke the Mamdani curse. That was starting to be a problem for him.

Go Bears!!!
