I'm going to be in France for the next two weeks or so, deciding where I'm going to live. Lyon/Toulouse/Bordeaux. The Bordeaux leg will remain provided that it doesn't burn down.
I'll be there more often over the next few years. We're leaving on Tues to drive No 3 to PT school at Marymount University in Arlington, VA. Looking forward to checking out the NoVA/DC area.
The NoVa area near DC has some great Middle Eastern bakers (eg, Jenin, Parsa, Mediteranean). They make some of the best versions in America, barring those in the greater Detroit area.
first trip to the White House. technically the Eisenhower bldg which is right next to it.
lots of drama getting there this morning since the President was "on the move" and all the streets surrounding the WH were closed off for a while. we ended up only 5 min late to our meeting.
everything looked pretty orderly to me. lots of construction and fenced off areas but nothing out of the ordinary.
the gift store was closed from 11a-12p for lunch so we didnt get to pop in.
there were plenty of Trump/Vance portraits all over. not sure why Trump wants his face w/ a serious mean look, but that's what it was. i guess it suits his persona
going to Federalist Pig for bbq lunch before heading to airport later this afternoon.
last night had dinner in the same neighborhood at Reveler's Hour, good neighborhood place w/ fine dining and great wine list.
her a very interesting orange wine from Georgia (the country) that taste a bit like iced tea to start, but really grew on you as you had more and more.
All the other dictators in the world have smiling faces on all their portraits all over the country. I would've thought he would've done the same thing.
The Dodgers are now on a winning streak at home, as they defeated the Seattle Mariners 6-2 at Dodger Stadium on Thursday.
Roki Sasaki managed to avoid trouble after allowing a one-out baserunner by completing a scoreless first inning on 20 pitches. Bryan Woo was one strike away from completing a scoreless first inning on 21 pitches, but Mookie Betts delivered a two-strike, two-run double to give the Dodgers a third consecutive first inning lead over Seattle.

Trump has thoughts of painting the Eisenhower white. He has zero taste.
at least he didn't suggest gold.

I was doing so well, in line to finish by 11 but the last 3 words either didn't have many letters or I had to take 3 guesses to get one of the 3.

While solving in 3 is good, I get more satisfaction if, instead of 43.4% of people getting it in 3, fewer, say 27%, get the 3.
