Did it once, took the southern route. Enjoyed some of the slow roads through rural Louisiana and Mississippi. Played my trumpet at an intersection on Bourbon Street.
Sounds wonderful. Would love to explore Vermont. Haven’t skied in decades, but I always savored the views from the lift, such as looking down at Lake Tahoe.
as i get older and am dialing back on aggressive skiing, i am finding enjoyment in the quiet snowy woods that you get in XC skiing. not as hard on the body and definitely some sort of sustainable exercise for the cold part of the year.
there is also side country and back country skiing which takes more skill, effort, planning. a lot more work too to "ski uphill"

You do have a good vocabulary. Never heard either of those words. I guess that’s why I got it in three.

Pogacar to race Vuelta a Espana. he has not won this one (yet)
no one has ever won all 3 grand tours in a single year. Pogacar would not be going for that feat anyways since he skipped the Giro.
Tour de France Femmes is heating up.
yesterday some Norwegian woman, Sigrid Haugset, goes on an 88 km breakaway, holds everyone off. and grabs the yellow jersey.

Cross country
Have to put in a plug for the Cal Cross Country Team. Go Bears!
When car traveling on a long business trip, the government required (or a least used to require ) that you drive at least 350 miles per day.
Did it once, took the southern route. Enjoyed some of the slow roads through rural Louisiana and Mississippi. Played my trumpet at an intersection on Bourbon Street.
I have not driven across the country in a single trip, only in pieces.
Only have not been to Iowa, Nebraska, and SD
Skiing
Bought skis this year and really starting to enjoy this as a secondary way to be in the mountains and snow in the winter
VT is pretty ideal for xc skiing
