I wonder if more parents these days guide their kids to other sports. I know there is flag football, but I thought I remembered seeing more concussions in flag football just because the chance of collision is still there, but no helmet to protect the head.
I would think so, though I think the NFL would try to argue that with rule changes “new football” is safe and this bad data applies only to “old football.” Given that every single play involves giant dudes smashing into each other, often at high speeds, that seems hard to accept
Last couple of days I've been eating leftover Paella, Lobster risotto, and Cuban food. Cuban food is now gone so lunch may be a ham sandwich (for variety) and dinner is the leftover Paella and Lobster risotto.
It’s not exactly a flock but this guy has been camping with his two goats in the area lately. I talked with him for a short while the other morning and I’m sure something is going on with him but he seemed fine and not crazy or anything.
I've been seeing lots of reports of people taking out Flock cameras. The first I saw was when I was in Louisville for a day a couple of weeks ago. It'll be interesting to see if places that had them put in take them out.
The Golden State Valkyries beat the top-seeded Minnesota Lynx 80-66 for their first-ever win against the franchise at Target Center on Monday. The Valkyries were previously 0-6 against the Lynx in the regular season and 0-3 in the postseason, but ended the skid emphatically, defeating Minnesota by the largest margin of any Lynx opponent this season (14) and holding them to a season-low in points (66). Former Lynx guard Cecilia Zandalasini led all scorers with 18 points and was joined by four teammates — Gabby Williams (15 PTS), Veronica Burton (14 PTS), Tiffany Hayes (14 PTS) and Janelle Salaün (12 PTS) — who scored in double figures. With the win, Golden State prevents Minnesota from clinching the first seed and moves within four games of them with seven games remaining. The Valkyries are a game ahead of the Las Vegas Aces for second place and two games ahead of the fifth-place Indiana Fever.
After a tough road series against WCC opponents Pepperdine and San Diego, the California women's soccer team (0-2-2) returns to Edwards Stadium this Saturday for a home matchup against Loyola Marymount.

The study that came out today on the rate of brain injuries in NFL players is wild - at least 1 in 4 players!

I think Helmets are better, but still. 250-350 lb guys running into each other running faster than they ever have. p=mv

Not the Marymount from Arlington. 😀
I was surprised the sports Marymount have, since it's a small school
