Sorry don't have much to contribute though since some of the places I ate at are probably gone. I did go up the tram to Victoria peak. Amazing view at night seeing all the neon lights. Not sure if those are still there. I stayed on the Kowloon side and would go take the ferry across the harbor to the Hong Kong side.

the STACKs were a strange place. you could legit find some quiet study spaces hidden among the rows and rows of books.
only rarely did i have ocassion to actually find a book in there. but it was a peaceful quiet place away from the fray
i didnt discover the Morrison Reading Room until the last couple years. it turned out to be the best place to take a quick midday nap on campus.
not sure if it still has vinyl that you can check out for listening.
