I just finished reading Apple The first 50 Years by David Pogue, and I’m a few chapters into Apple in China by Patrick McGee.
What a contrast! Pogue is very pro Apple and is fairly upbeat even when describing the downtimes. The most provocative chapter title is “Insanely Great.” McGee is extremely negative about Apple, including a chapter titled “Fire that Motherf*****r!” (The book does not use asterisks)
Patriots Day Freedom Fest, a conservative festival, was canceled days before it was set to take place in northern Kentucky, and include speakers like Kid Rock.
The festival's organizer, lawyer, and political commentator Eric Deters announced the cancellation of the free event on Sept. 21 via Facebook Live, revealing that only six $1,000 VIP tickets had been purchased.
President Trump’s confrontational, campaign-style speech at the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday was met with silence and rejection, and both the Cuban and Iranian delegations walked out while he attacked them.
The beginning of Trump’s speech was met with several awkward silences, as he clearly waited for applause after declaring that “America is back and … stronger today than ever before.” He received none.
Nike co-founder Phil Knight and his wife Penny have donated $1 billion to the University of Oregon. The gift, the largest in the university’s history, will be used to establish an engineering school in Eugene.
It's late in the day so I'll repost this tomorrow.
I've gotten texts from more than one friend - with no relation to Cal - saying that Cal/Clemson in the 10:30pm timeslot pairs perfectly with their Friday night drinking ambitions.
I think people are expecting an ACC After Dark sort of vibe, and they're also rooting for Dabo's demise.

The Valkyries scored the game's first 17 points but were unable to hold on, falling to the Portland Fire in overtime 90-82 at Moda Center on Tuesday. Former Valkyries guard Carla Leite had the dagger 3-point play in overtime as Golden State was outscored 13-5 in the bonus period. The Valkyries had their five-game winning streak snapped and lost out on a chance at the first seed in the 2026 WNBA playoffs. They will be either the second or third seed depending on the results of Thursday's regular season finale.
Victor Bericoto was awaiting a 3-2 pitch with two runners on in the 9th inning, down by a run, when a man seated behind the plate with a physique reminiscent of Rod “Shooter” Beck decided that this was the time to go “Tarps Off.” As viewers at home flinched at the sudden flash of unexpected man boobery, Bericoto whiffed on a slider from struggling Minnesota Twins closer Jeff Hoffman, as if he could somehow sense the visual assault behind him. Hey Hoffman, where was that slider when you were blowing the World Series to the Dodgers?
LOS ANGELES — On a night the Los Angeles Queens won a championship in the inaugural season of the Women’s Pro Baseball League, the Los Angeles Dodgers beat a King. Four runs with two outs in the second inning off Michael King paced a 7-0 win for the Dodgers over the San Diego Padres in Tuesday night’s series opener at Dodger Stadium.
Lexington, KY – The California women's golf team opened its season with a tie for third in the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational hosted by the University of Kentucky. The Bears concluded three rounds of play Tuesday at a combined 1-under-par.

Kickoff at California Memorial Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m. PT with the game to be shown live on ESPN. Mike Monaco will be the play-by-play broadcaster with Jordan Rodgers the analyst and Dana Boyle the sideline reporter.
History will be made Thursday when the No. 4 California men's water polo team welcomes No. 20 Saint Mary's, a program in its inaugural season, to Spieker Aquatics Complex for the first matchup between the two Bay Area programs.
California women's gymnastics will add former Golden Bear gymnast Miki Aderinto to its coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2027 season, as announced by the team on Tuesday.
Aderinto will return to Berkeley following her senior season, where she was a mainstay in the uneven bars and balance beam lineups. She competed in every meet on both events, recorded four podium finishes and earned All-ACC Academic Team honors.

He is clearly insane. Why does the United States tolerate these circumstances? Where is our Congressional "leadership"?

They changed the whole rulebook to protect QBs, and still they're suffering season-ending injuries.
Need more bubble wrap.
Need better O-linemen, apparently.

Almond is the best flavor. There are some weird flavors now. I tried honey peanut which was a little more sweeter than regular peanut. I also saw they have PBJ. ewww
