That seems reasonable - but there’s also the element with the lake that you’ve got to get out on it to get a sense of the surroundings, which pictures don’t tell you either

I recently had a coworker tell me he hates my normal, cursive writing; however, he loves my writing on tubes and lab stuff because I try extra hard to make it legible, which is usually tough because the surfaces are curved, small, etc.
I can’t compete with that - but little did I know when I had a temp job in the shipping department at LifeFitness that mastering writing in clear block capitals in a hurry would be a genuine work skill later in life for consulting

i took all the drafting courses that were offered at my HS. 2 or 3 of them.
i think my handwriting was pretty good back then too. but the thing i liked the most was the old school feel of the pencil in your hand and gentle twist you would have to give to get a line to look the best as you dragged it across the paper.
i ended up using a lot of AutoCAD in grad school to design stuff, but i still always like drawing things out on paper.
it turned out to be a great skill to have as an experimental physics grad student. we were all always building stuff, making quick drawings and either making it ourselves in the student shop or handing off to the machine room for the more complex stuff.
Mine is fine if I’m paying attention but varies widely depending on speed needed and whatever. I am experimenting with taking notes on what is basically like a whiteboard in 8 1/2 x 11 format using wet erase markers which is forcing a certain economy of words and increase in writing size

The first 2 weeks of wood shop at my high school was drafting - and you needed to learn how to do it because every project needed to be drafted.
I was really good at drafting, but also almost snaded off a fingertip. I ended up being ok at woodshop in the end, but not really much of a craftsman.

I always assumed that American classic rock applied to pretty much anything you’d hear on FM radio for old people. Of the examples you gave:
MC5 - it’s fine.
Stooges: perfectly fine music, most mixes are unlistenable though
CCR - Fortunate Son is okay
Big Star: I downloaded #1 album when Alex Chilton died. One of the most boring albums I’ve listened to in the last 10 years.
Punk and new wave: I mean it’s fine, but a lot of American punk was middle class posturing. Which is fine, that’s one of my main hobbies.
