Next coach up! In Wilcox I trust.

I say find a young energetic coach that is an excellent teacher and has recruiting chops. I feel the open position should be used to fill the OLB spot as that is such a critical piece of the dominant Cal defense. I think Wilcox probably has a short list of very good candidates. Go Bears!!

UNLV now has Marcus Arroyo as HC, Nate Longshore as TE coach, Kenwick Thompson as LB coach and Heyward as DC. They are little Cal just like we are Oregon 2.0

And in little Cal fashion, they were absolutely atrocious in 2021, going 2-10…did Arroyo get extended too?

Sorry Justbear, couldn’t resist…

I bet Arroyo got extension and they have an old fan named GoRebels49.

We all expected he would be gone in a year or two, so nothing surprising here except for the timing. I didn't expect a departure this late right before spring camp. I say Zack Follet should leave his coffee business to his employees and become our OLB coach.

Coincidentally I thought of Follet too, but I'd wonder if he'd fit in at a secular program at this point.

Usually guys that haven’t gone into coaching aren’t going to jump in to P5 gig like that. I’d much rather us re-allocate the open spot for a ST coach or Andre Carter

We need an adult! We need an Andre Carter!! :D

From Wikipedia, I learned that Andre Carter played collegiate football at Cal and was a first round draft pick for Niners.

I clicked on one of the blue words and that took me to another page, and then I did that again, and again, and so on, and before you know it, I was reading some vile stuff and had already forgotten anything I'd read about Andre Carter, which I would say was terribly inconvenient.
