Last years Offensive Coordinator had a better passing offense than this years. It's as simple as that.

The Bears rank 106th in the country in third/fourth-down success rate (35.1%). Their 7.6-yard average third-down distance ranks 95th in the NCAA.

Room for improvement!

What do you think of the theory posted elsewhere that he may still be recovering from the fUCLA injury, hence the discomfort?

I think that is true, he isn't all healed up yet. I also think the play calling doesn't allow the offense to get into a rhythm. I think the plays that are run don't take advantage of JKS's abilities. I think our receivers need to catch the ball and hold on to it. I think the OL isn't very good at run blocking and pass protection. I think all of these factors result in a mediocre and disappointing offense. I hope Cal does better tonight on offense and we beat Clemson.

Nick, I'm with you- JKS often is not stepping up and into throws. Plus the GBs many times have JKS rolling out so he doesn't get pummeled. He just looks uncomfortable - and never pulls the ball down to punish the other team with his legs. The O on runs just looks bad, and on passes look out of sync. This has to be fixed to win ACC conf games - and to keep JKS in Berkeley...

Nick, I want what you want. Get JKS comfortable and more downfield passing.
