It remains to be seen where he will be used. Cam Goode is the best way to look at it in the current moment since he was 235LBS in a OLB/DE hybrid role since that’s how Sirmon uses them. I would expect more of the same for Curlee.

Evan Weaver was 230 lbs coming into Cal as DE. He played DE his freshman year and then became OLB, and then ILB. later in his Cal career. He was small for DE but played fairly well, but his size and athleticism was better fit for a linebacker, and I can see Thomas going a similar path.
