Seriously, if all practices are open, why aren't there more practice reports? I mean, I pay to subscribe because I bleed blue and gold and love this stuff, but there does seem to be a real lack of practice reports.
Thanks Avi. I've never paid to belong to any Cal site because of the fine history of CGB and the first incarnation. I realize what us subscribers here pay doesn't likely to go to the authors and barely keeps the lights on, but for those of us who don't live near Berkeley and who cannot attend practices, it is a lifeblood.
Totally understand. It's the first time we've tried out paid, so we're still experimenting with what works and what doesn't work. Bear with us and keep providing feedback!
Was thinking the same thing, no reports. All practices are open to the public. Other sites are reporting on them if you require your daily take on spring practices. I've gone to a couple of practices and this is a very different team. Competition everywhere, great reps by all units, and the QBs are different. Very different. They are getting the ball out quick, throwing into tight windows, and utilizing the middle of the field. Again the O will go as the OL goes and they are a bit thin due to injury and waiting on some talented freshmen to join in the summer. That said, the offense looks good. It is rare that an O will look this good in camp but several years in the Musgrave system with a smatter of older players is showing up on the field in terms of execution and consistency. This team just doesn't have a certain "feel" to it, it is in fact different. Bigger, stronger, faster and just damn competitive. The 2nd half of spring ball should be very telling in terms of who is likely to start and how much better the lads can get in these next few days. Easily the best Wilcox team that he has had during his tenure.
Sioape Vatikani the freshman is that dude when he eventually gets to campus. Looks to me like one of the best lineman prospects we’ve had in years. He’s probably your best shot although he’s not listed for spring.

I wasn’t going to say anything but yeah... I just recently joined and I think I only got 1 practice report during my trial period.
I expected a return to something like the glory days when Nam Le delivered awesome reports of every practice on CGB. So far it’s nothing like that.
We'll have some updates tomorrow and reports the rest of the week.

Thanks. No practice reports in a long while...closed practices?

Can you recommend some sites that are covering practices? I can’t find any. I keep seeing the media availability videos on YouTube but nothing here.
Sounds good and I hope you are right. The added competition is probably a positive in terms of building a more complete team, especially on offense.
You’re making me hard
