ACC Pool Champions, what, like it’s hard?

Go Girls*, Go Bears, Go Play*
The Cal Cameron Institute held their second Go Girls*, Go Bears, Go Play* event for National Girls and Women in Sports Day and recapped it in a video above. “With 2,000+ participants, 14 Cal Athletics teams, and 25 incredible community partners dedicated to expanding equity and access to sport, the event brought together Cal student-athletes and families for a day of empowerment, teamwork, and play. 💙🐻🏆

Cal Women’s Basketball Gets Back on Track
The Cal Women’s Basketball Team posted a video recapping their second-to-last home stand and gave us a peak of some of the behind the scenes team bonding activities.
Cal Band at the SF Chinese New Year Parade
Cal Band marched in the SF Chinese New Year Parade and the Taiwanese-Chinese Committee (one of the bands many social and interest committees) of the band put together a video diary of the experience. Give it a watch!
And Now For A Bit of History…
This past week marked the 84th Anniversary of the discovery of Plutonium which was chemically identified in Room 307 of Gilman Hall. Thanks to Cal Bears History on X for the history! Read more here.
Ansel Adam’s 123rd Birthday was also this past week. Adams of course was commissioned in the 60s with photographing the UC Campuses which later were compiled in the book, Fiat Lux.

Men’s Swimmers Seeliger, Okadome, Rose, and Alexy won the 200-yard medley and set the second fastest time in the country this season.
Battaglini, Seeliger, Alexy and Lasco came in second in the 200-freestyle relay
