However, ATT/U-Verse/DirecTV is up to its old ways of eliminating stations at just the wrong time. Can’t get any Disney affiliated channels now, so those with these cable services are SOL it would appear. Can’t even get KGO (ABC).
Sign up for a free trial of Fubo or something, and tell DTV that you'll be moving to another service if ESPN isn't made available soon. In the streaming age, there are options.
A bunch of other cable services went through this last year with ABC/ESPN/Disney...and you should have seen the hold times they put you through. You can always cancel your DirecTV or tell them you are want to cancel to get a lower rate (you should be doing that anyway every six months). The DirecTV model is a dinosaur anyhow and, trust me, they can't afford for this to go on for too long, so if you want to keep your DirectTV, fake cancel to pick up a lower rate and go buy an ESPN+ package with the savings...which you then cancel when they are done playing chicken.
How to watch the game? Ho yo Memorial Stadium on Saturday night. Go Bears!!!
It's great that this is a national ESPN game. Would have been shunted to Pac-12 Network in the old setup for sure.
