Yup. Va Tech is a middle of the pack ACC team...these are the kinds of games Cal is going to (eventually?) NEED to win if they are gonna hit the Dance (ever, ever again) ;-). Not sure THIS roster is there yet, but the program seems to be on the way....maybe next year?
The path to NCAAT at-large consideration for Cal is similar to their P10/P12 days: can they avoid bad losses in the non-con, grab 1-2 upsets for the marquee wins, and win more of the ballgames against comparable teams than they lose.
