I don't like saying nice things about USC, but good on them for allowing Cal to reschedule the game to this weekend rather than taking the forfeit win a few weeks ago.
This was a weird game aside from it being rescheduled (good on $C for doing so).
I honestly don't think we played well at all. Nevertheless I am not passing up the opportunity to beat the spoiled brats from down south. The offense was brutal, the defense was good in the turnover category (to be clear the guys played hard and I loved it) but we were giving up yards left and right and frankly were fortunate USC is USC. Special teams was solid and is rounding into form, shame we don't get a bowl game.
Lastly, it was great doing another football season with y'all. See you September 3rd against UCD. On to basketball season. If anyone is going to the game on 11th against Santa Clara and the 19th against Dartmouth, holler at me!
Watched from Taiwan. I know this game "didn't mean anything," but I'm not gonna lie that it still gave me happiness vibes. Wish we could've flipped the result of Arizona, Nevada, TCU, or any of our other 1 score losses.
Good win and way to end the season. I am happy for the seniors. The seniors have now beat Stanford and SC twice during their time at Cal. It was great to end the Memorial losing streak to Sc and to win a game in the Roth uniforms.
My wishlist for 22:
1. New OL coach
2. New Special Teams coach
3. Garbers and all the seniors with eligibility come back
See, it was a good thing we played this week. We end the season on a good note. I'm sure next week we'll be talking about what could have been, but at least this weekend is a good feeling.
If before the season started, Marty McFly told me that we would beat Stanford and SC before taking off in his Delorean to go back to the future I would have expected us to win the Pac 12 north.

4. Hit the transfer portal hard
5. 9 regular season wins
Also, shitposting with Oklahoma fans on the /r/cfb game thread was a lot of fun. We share a mutual hatred of both SC and Texas!

I rate the game a significant improvement over covid forfeit.

Wazzu is expected to take our Sun Bowl bid...dagger.
