On another subject, I will, probably regularly, bring up the subject of Troy Taylor, though I am hoping he doesn't need to come here as a coach because the Bears will win the rest of their games this year and Wilcox remains as our head coach.

Sac St. is doing well in the FCS rankings, now ranked #19, haven beaten the then #5 Montana team at their place last week. If Sac. St, now 4 - 2 keeps on winning, I will let everyone know about it. If you don't hear from me you know Sac. St. is not doing well.

Attached is an very good article and interviews with Taylor, probably four or five of them, two of which dealt with his conversations with Joe Kapp about why he wanted to come to Cal, the only year that Taylor was at Cal when Kapp coached there, rising from being the #9 QB at Cal the beginning of his freshman year to becoming the starter by the sixth game that year, his interactions with coach Bruce Snyder during Taylor's last three years at Cal, just before Cal became a really good team, and how he was approaching the Cal game early this season. Also he describes a few of the memorable Cal wins (and a tie with Stanford). He's super nice guy and feels lucky to have a good time just being a coach. I highly recommend the four or short interviews with him. You get good feel of who Troy Taylor is and his love of coaching football and his love of Berkeley and Cal.
