Why is it I always hear the announcers talk about Jalen Cone having the green light yada yada. I would be interested to see his season stats from three. Please check him down to a yellow light. Don’t get me wrong I love the energy and attitude he brings but I feel like that ill-advised jack at the end of the game set up the L. Of course he is a hero if he makes it but that was such a key possession in that moment and almost any other play would have been preferable.

that was a very painful 9 minutes to watch, especially the last 1:15 you chronicaled

not only was that Cone shot at the beginning of the shot clock, but it was a contested 3. He had no space and the only reason he got it off was because it was so unexpected

I would have preferred Tyson with the ball. Yeah, that's what everyone was expecting, but he was getting to the rack or getting fouled. He also made some nice inside passes when help defenders step up

even if he only made 1 of 2 it would have meant a 2 point ASU basket would only tied it

This team does not have a point guard, and it shows. Tyson tasked with having to do way too much.

It’s getting hard to want to tune into this team.

Meanwhile, on a happier (?) note, Stanford proves Arizona is beatable after being softened up by our Golden Bears.

Turnovers are the Achilles heel of this team. It seems like a total lack of awareness of the reach of a college defender. Hence getting swatted at the hoop, having the ball poked away while standing there, and, most frequently, on passes.

Cal sucks at the end of the game lately just like the losing team last year. Very sad!

I don’t recall us being competitive at all last year.

It is not at all like the team last year. Last year they were down by 15 at the half and never competitive. This team is more talented and more entertaining. The coach owns it unlike last year as well.
