Oh man I'm jazzed right now. Just a couple things that stand out:
1. We beat Gonzaga in basically the same fashion that Stanford just did, which is a nice measuring stick
2. Gonzaga under Fortier has pretty much always been a plus offensive team and even though they're rebuilding this year, holding them under a point/possession is a good sign of progress defensively, which has always been the bigger challenge under Coach Smith.
3. FIFTEEN STEALS! That's a level of defensive activity we haven't seen since, like, Brittany Boyd.
4. Lulu Twidale sophomore leap appearing to be more and more real
Maybe the most impressive win of the Charmin Era. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come. It proved the Bears can beat good teams on the road. Also we've got shooters and inside threats. Hope people come out to see the team at Haas.
Roll on you Bears!!! Come to Haas to support this team. They are fun to watch! Shooters!! Defenders!! Deep bench!! Great chemistry!! Coach Smith has them pointed in the right direction -- seeking that elusive NCAA Tournament bid!
