In many ways a terrible game to watch. The Bears turned the ball over 26 times and the game couldn't go twenty seconds without a foul called. Most 7:00 starts are over by 8:50, this one went past 9:05.
I'm confident the Bears will have ironed out a lot of kinks heading into tomorrow night's game.
This is why you need to pay closer attention to Cal WBB and their season so far. Errors like this would not occur. This team deserves more respect. Rant over. Go Bears!! See you Friday night. ;)
I'm so delighted to be absolutely completely wrong about Lulu Twidele - she's a real player and has guts and that clutch gene. She's already so good already and it's only a handful of games into her sophomore year.

I read they were 4-0 going into this game.
You can always check the schedule and results page for women's BB on the Cal athletics site. https://calbears.com/sports/womens-basketball/schedule
You are correct. I quickly corrected it on the article page but could not undo the email version.
Thanks. Substack still claims this in article: Cal remains perfect on the season, 4-0, with the 86-63 win.
Interesting. I see the home page blurb says 4-0, but at the top of this page where I am typing this (https://writeforcalifornia.com/p/insta-recap-cal-womens-basketball-grambling-state-2024-recap/) it says 5-0. I'll check with substack.
It’s the last sentence in paragraph #4.
I've updated there, as well.

It's Twidale. But otherwise you are entirely correct.
