Jason Kidd is back in the NBA Finals as head coach of the Dallas Mavericks
It's a Cal on Cal NBA Finals.
The California Golden Bears will get an NBA champion in the coming weeks.
Jason Kidd returns for yet another NBA Finals as head coach of the Dallas Mavericks.
As the 5 seed, the Mavericks went on the road and upset the 1, 3 and 4 seeds en route to winning the Western Conference. Kidd took advantage of key trades to bolster Dallas’s defense to being best in the league post All-Star Break, as well as the emergence of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving as the best backcourt in the NBA to beat three 50-win teams in a row, the first since the 2010 Lakers.
Kidd made three NBA Finals as a player, winning a title previously as starting point for the 2011 Dallas Mavericks. This is his first NBA Finals as a head coach.
Jaylen Brown punched his ticket to the Finals earlier in the week as Eastern Conference Finals MVP for the Boston Celtics. This means a California Golden Bear is guaranteed to be an NBA champion.
The NBA Finals start Thursday night. We’ll have live chats to discuss each of the games to see which Cal Bear wins a title!
The Bears always return.
I love me some Jaylen Brown but, as a Laker fan, I can't support the C's winning a chip and breaking the tie.
