Go Bears! As I often say, choosing Cal is just about the best decision many of us have ever made. Most good things I now cherish in my life I can trace back to my choice to go to Cal. Coach Madsen? Who wouldn't want to play for him? And to still play in California but play those East Coast teams in the ACC? Best of both worlds. Don't have to live in those crappy places but can stay in the sun and fun of California and still be seen nationally. Welcome to the Bear family young man!
I notice a recurring theme in the statements from Cal commits about the integrity and honesty of the coaching staff and the program, and the hard work they put in on the recruiting trail. These are exactly the things I want to see from this program.
I'm sure he's a great player, top-50 nationally and all. but even Steph had mechanics that he needed to improve for the next level. and it was acknowledged. (plus I doubt he's doomscrolling the DBD to get feedback/advice from the likes of me!)
props to him for doing what he does with a hitch in his giddyup! can only get better! ;-)
cal men’s basketball is back! and those hating on Ruff for committing to cal just don’t want to face the imminent truth that Cal basketball is going to be GREAT again!!! we could srs have a strong recruiting class for 2025! excited for more commits! GO BEARS! #MarkMadDogMadsen
Totally off topic but is momma Madsen doing okay? I haven’t seen her post in a while and I thought she’d be all over this one.
Welcome!
Go Bears! 🐻
WHOOO HOOOOOOOO LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLE
Let's GOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Gotta buy a cervical collar because my impression of Cal Basketball changed fast enough to give me whiplash.

I didn’t go to school there so still hoping that it’s the best decision to be a fan. This certainly helps.

Huge get for this program. Welcome to the future power center future of college basketball, Jovani!
Great news, but that is a goofy-ass looking 3-point shot. it's like a chest pass, but going up. Seems that it'd get blocked a lot.
He has a different release on contested shots. Not ideal but he's figured out something to get it off.
Needs to clean up the load and release.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw FWIW
Bruh....there are more constructive and softer ways to critique a young player's mechanics. Let's welcome him instead of being critical.
it was meant with love!

Yeah, reminds me a little of Halliburton’s or Shawn Marion’s. As long they go in.
and in the highlight video, surprisingly they all went in! ;-)
I won't believe it until he officially signs, but I am so excited.
