I'm wondering how much that's just Wilcox never wanting to say anything too committal or definitive. Yeah, yeah. We just want to get better every day... blah, blah, blah.
To be clear... I am a little worried. We have a lot of guys out there (including QB1, 2, and 3) who have never really proven themselves against good D1 competition. I am heartened by what feels like better depth, but there's a reason one of the ACC media analysts picked The Bear to hibernate dead last in the conference. There's way too much uncertainty. Some will work out well. Some won't.
I'm glad Mendoza worked out reasonably well last season. I'm glad for him and I'm encouraged the coaches found a way to plug a critical hole. On the other hand, QB1 and QB2 both failed (and no injuries involved)...? That's not a good look for the coaches. I hope they have a better handle on the position this year.
He did look pretty good in the scrimmage I saw last week, but I had to keep reminding myself he was playing against the 3rd team. Nando looked good to me. Rogers did not. But I know that hasn’t been the case through much of camp.
I dunno. We all know now that last Fall’s QB1 talk was so much BS.
This year, I believe we have 3 quality options. I don’t think they would bother even mentioning Harris if it wasn’t true. And he’s QB3.
They just need to pick the right option to start the season on the best foot. Somebody is going down at some point and QB2 is going to have a chance to show what they can bring to this team as well.
Different subject but I gotta put it somewhere...
Week 0 is coming up. Will we get an ACC pick 'em? Please...?
I wasn't any good at picking the P12 so it should be even more fun hooking up on teams I know even less about!
Por favor!!!!
The lack of clarity on a QB1 this late is giving off a faint 2023 scent.

maybe it's CJ Harris!
