I lived in Boulder for a year, didn't like it, and came back West to the beautiful Pacific Ocean, but did learn that Boulder has its charms and is a place all the poor Midwesterners and Texans go to get away from fly-over lands. They should have the same advantage as Utah in terms of home field advantage and better aerobic athletes away from home. I seriously hope Cal doesn't repeat Arizona from last year. We'd be a poster child of helping pathetic teams feel good about themselves.

Ugh. Playing freshmen (plural). I recall back to 2013 when Sonny kind of did that and Cal averaged 23 pts/game while its opponents averaged 46. It always looks like boys vs men. A young person's body and strength develop a lot from freshman to junior/senior, that can make a big difference across a roster of starters.

So the Colorado writer is already mentioning Troy Taylor as a HC candidate there. Mark this one on the calendar: If No. 5 and undefeated Sac State beats No. 3 and undefeated Montana in Sacramento next Saturday, Troy Taylor is going to get on a lot more lists.
