Legend Journey, Arlington defensive lineman, commits to Cal
Cal lands their second defensive lineman commit of their 2024 recruiting class and one of the greatest names in college football.
Cal football gets its first commitment since the start of July, and what a name it is. Legend Journey has committed to be a California Golden Bear.
Journey had a host of offers from Power 5 schools, including TCU, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Texas Tech and Missouri. Journey is rated by 247Sports Composite as the 115th best defensive lineman and 170th best Texas prospect.
As a junior on Mansfield Summit’s defense, Journey had 54 tackles (14 for loss), two sacks and three forced fumbles. Here he is mic’ed up during one of his high school football games. You can also see his full Hudl highlights by clicking here.
With the commitment of Journey, Cal now has 11 commits for the 2024 class, with the state of Texas leading the way with five. Journey joins defensive lineman Michael-Anthony Okwura, edge Eze Osondu, running back Jamaal Wiley, and offensive tackle Tyler Knape in committing to Berkeley from the Lone Star State.
I don’t know how realignment is going to go for Cal, but it has to be a good sign that Legend Journey is all in, right?
Welcome to Cal Legend! Go Bears!
Going to be a legend after his journey
Will his journey lead him to the ACC? B1G? Who knows?!
