Cal landed another defensive back transfer, this time from the junior college ranks. Matthew Littlejohn out of Citrus College made a commitment to the Bears this past weekend.
Littlejohn was ranked by 247Sports Composite as the 53rd best junior college prospect, a top-five safety and a top-ten California prospect. He held offers from Illinois, Kansas, Oregon State, Utah and Washington State. You can check out his Hudl highlights here.
Littlejohn hails from San Antonio, Texas, hitting up at 6-0, 180 pounds. He racked up 51 tackles and 2 interceptions, including one pick-six, for Citrus College this past season. He is one of the immediate candidates to replace Daniel Scott in the backfield.
Cal also picked up two commitments from UNLV cornerback Nohl Williams and Colorado defensive back Kaylin Moore. With a quieter recruiting class than usual, the Bears appear to be stocking up on immediate talent to try and lift themselves back up in the Pac-12 race.
Welcome to Cal Matthew and it will be nice to see you on the field as part of the 3rd iteration of the Takers.
