I pray that NCAA enacts new rules allowing one free transfer only. It's become a fucking joke

Just a puzzling decision by Carr.

Finn's avatar

Exactly! He was set up to get a ton of playing time. It certainly seems like a missed opportunity.

Must’ve had a nonpower conf school connect. Maybe like a Seattle U.

It’s the only thing that makes sense….and honestly may be better for him, but he was going to get plenty of run. Jordan Ross is a rotational piece, not a 30 mpg guy…

Think TT's making a mistake. That aside, Ali's a guard at 6'8"?

Jimmy Chitwood's avatar

That length is nice defensively.

Cal didn’t have athletes with the length that Wilkins, Ali, and the 2 FR (Bakare and Mitrovic) bring. Add in Cooper, Ross, & Indrusaitis and you’ve hopefully got some physicality at the G position - maybe even better rebounding too.

We need more NBA legends' sons.

Hard to nurture and grow your fan and donor when it's a complete rebuild every year. Such are the times we live in..

Yeah, it’s rough. I thought finally a hometown guy (from Mill Valley, like me) who can do special things despite his undersized frame. Plays with heart and last season had a great assist to TO rate. A point guard with moxy is the heart and soul of a team, and I thought we’d get the opportunity to watch TT grow into that. I hope he finds a great new landing spot. As a fan, it sucks.

Carr was a huge loss. He would have been the starting PG on his hometown team. Only reason I can think of is $$$$.

concernedparent's avatar

He's not getting $$$. No one's paying an undersized PG who scored 3.8 PPG on 36% $$$. It's more likely that he felt he was recruited over or the staff let him know they don't believe he will be a starter this year.

We have lost our top four scorers from last year's team . If you look at the scoring average of those brought in from the portal, it doesn't begin to replace what has been lost. Don't fault the coaches for this, but it is a reflection of the lack of resources facing the BB team. Coach Madsen and his assistants are going to earn every penny of his salaries next year to build this team into a winner.

We never would have gotten this level of talent if the NIL and the portal didn't exist. Keep it coming. Sooner or later we'll get the right mix.

True, I guess this is the new normal - every year, reconfigure a new group of players. Mercy.

At least Dort will be back ...

More help, great! I appreciate the current list of players, which is so helpful. What happened to Marbury?

BentPawn(Don)'s avatar

He's still there. I left the walk-ons and practice players off the list pending what happens with scholarships slots.

Cool thank you
