Men's Basketball Adds Wright State Guard Michael Cooper
Combo guard earned Horizon League All-Freshman and All-Tournament Team honors
Coach Mark Madsen continues to reload the roster, today adding Michael Cooper from the Wright State Raiders.
Cooper averaged 13.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists over 31 games for the Wright State Raiders. He led the team in scoring for the Horizon League Champions and earned All-Freshman league honors. Against Cal last November, Coper scored 17 points, added 4 rebounds and 4 assists on an efficient 7-of-13 shooting night.
Cooper scored an 89 on the 247 transfer portal rankings, the 26th best combo guard available. The 6’ 3” Indiana native shot 44% from the field, 36% from deep, and 81% from the free throw line. He has three years of eligibility remaining.
