BTW, this is a topic for another day and another article, but in many ways Gabrielle Abigor put up freshman year numbers similar and in some spots better than what Michelle Onyiah put up in her first couple of season. If she puts in the same work that Michelle put in, she'd be on track to do great things.

That's basically what I told Gabi yesterday. IMO she's ahead of where Michelle was her freshman year.

Michelle Onyiah is a true credit to Cal; a 5th year senior who spent her entire career at the same school is rare these days. She's a dynamic personality and as a player one who worked hard and improved every year. She should be on the ACC all league team for sure. Thank you Michelle.

Very nice tribute to a terrific player, one of my favorite all-time Bears and I've seen a lot of them. I had a massive lump in my throat when she came off the court for the last time.

The women’s basketball team is also one of the more online teams and Michelle has been an absolute delight this season in all the off court activities we get to see on the team’s social media

It's shades of CJ West. A scrappy 5 that stays their entire career at Cal and has an amazing senior season

It was obvious from the broadcast how much she was savoring the moment. She was in the flow and feeling every minute of it.

Her promo pic always makes me laugh because it kind of resembles the bear logo an was a full commitment to the photo shoot. And it made obvious that there was a lot of joy and fun behind the determination and concentration.
