Make it three commitments in two days for Mark Madsen and the California Golden Bears. After DJ Campbell and Christian Tucker pledged their transfer in the last 24 hours, its now Minnesota transfer Joshua Ola-Joseph who will make his way to the Bay.
In just over 15 minutes per game this year, Ola-Joseph averaged 7.5 points per game on 60.9% shooting from the field and 40.6% from three. Ola-Joseph isn’t a volume three point shooter, going 13/32 from behind the arc this year and not attempting one since a Feb.3 contest vs Northwestern. He gets to the bucket at will, shooting 74% at the rim, where he attempts 64% of his total shots.
Cal now has six players that have entered the program after the conclusion of last season. Alongside Ola-Joseph, the Bears have the commitments of the aforementioned Tucker, Campbell, Jeff Nwankwo, Lee Dort, and BJ Omot.
The day may not be finished with Andrej Stojakovic and Rytis Petraitis visiting and Myron Amey Jr deciding.
Welcome to Cal, Joshua!
Even though Jordan Pope visited Texas and Texas AM this week, Cal is still on his list(6) of colleges. Being close to home/family and friends is important. Cal needs go all out for him.
Rytis Petraitis No longer wants to be an Air Force officer? I wonder what Jim Knowlton thinks about that. But lets welcome Private Rytis Petraitis!
