Saturday observations:

Oklahoma has a good QB in Rattler but he was struggling so they put in a Freshman QB who brought the team back from the jaws of defeat to a victory. Perhaps the Cal staff watched that game.

Nebraska's OL had been struggling for 5 games so they put in a new LT and switched the line around....after 5 games. Perhaps the Cal staff watched this game as well.

Coaches that recognize and accept that their team needs change make the change. Doing the same thing over and over again is indeed insanity in any and every phase of life. Also, I didn't see any QBs throwing routine outlet passes into the dirt or badly over throwing wide open receivers down field. It was frustrating viewing to be sure.

Today, we cannot lose, so I will feel joy instead of pain.

Watched the Furd/ASU game. Furd kept getting near the red zone and then imploding on offense, over and over. Never challenged ASU's comfortable lead.

Wazzu vs. osu was a good game....

WSU defensive line used shifts and gap separation plus quickness to disrupt the OSU offense, similar to what they did to Cal. OSU still rushed for 300+ yards but they were not as effective through the air.

Utah over USC 42-26, a game that was not as close as the score might indicate.
