Live by Dan Cambpell, die by Dan Campbell.

I was also told that Kyle Shanahan teams couldn't come back from deficits, but it appears that they can!

Niner game ball goes to Dan Campbell.

Goff played like a veteran. His young team didn’t quite come thru when needed. Dan Campbell needs to learn better game management. Maybe he still loses but allowing the momentum shifts to home team by getting 4th down stops is not that.

What a shame... love how Goff played and loved keeping tabs on the Lions season.

It's hard for me (despite being a 49ers fan) to root for CMC... even after Stanford buddied us into the ACC... but it's still Stanford

I feel bad right now for Goff... other than a couple of passes he's been sensational... receivers have been awful... well may be not awful but disappointing.

Jeez, if Purdy beats your defense using his legs, that's game over.

Niners defense won that down. Kick was long enough that I don't think going for it was a bad idea, though.

Goff's receivers are killing him. Williams did keep one away from the defender but that was catchable regardless.

Niners were underperforming and Lions overperforming. And some bad luck for the Lions. Also Reynolds can't catch.

Needs hands to be able to do that.

Well he probably has one hand. You usually need two hands to catch zip passes unless you are OBJ or Maurice Harris.

I'm conflicted... on one hand happy the Niners caught a break but that wasn't a great play, just lucky... pretty crazy catch off the DB's face mask.

Again - so impressive and I'm really happy for him. I'd prefer the Niners but if Goff and the Offense is going to play this well then good on them. Incidentally I peeked at a niners nation (blog) and Wow... those people are losing their minds.

14 points isn't a big deficit for the Niners' offense. And the Lions defense is their weakness. Lions will have to be consistent on offense and eat clock while they're at it.

I agree - I'm surprised about how well the Lions are running it against the niners...

Expand full comment

Yeah, I get that. Does not bode well for the 49'ers or Lions, right? Fix that NFL narrative for the Tayler Swift fairytale. Makes business sense. Brings in Swift fans, which may predominantly be newly interested in the NFL.
