On another topic, why has there been no discussion on WFC of the "special" Friday edition of Gameday in Berkeley? For that matter, why have we not heard from the Calgorithm this year? Did they transfer along with Fernando, Ott and Endries?
Thanks again Christopher, appreciate the background on these guys. I read a statement in one of the ACC game prediction sites about this game. It read; Cal needs to decide what kind of team it is.
That was all there was. I am going to the game, and we damn well better win. Go Bears!
What may be the only thing that will save Cal is the fact that the “brilliant” brain in Belichick’s big head is obviously being overwhelmed by the other one in his smaller head. The ridiculous personal circus that he’s brought to NC will no doubt be brought to a merciful end following what should be a crushing defeat by the likes of a mediocre Cal team with a portal-bound young QB who will very likely move on to Mendoza-style greatness at a Power 4 team next year. If by chance Wilcox loses this one, you have to start wondering what on Earth Ron is thinking by not firing Wilcox now rather than waiting until the end of the season when that loud sound you’ll hear is the transfer portal sucking every player with aspirations of a better football future out the door.
First of all, you didn't list Bill Walsh as one of the coaches who came from the college ranks to win a Super Bowl. And, when mentioning the offense positions you didn't mention the Oline at all.
Uh... was I supposed to? I don't see how that's relevant. Many NFL coaches came from the college ranks, Bill Walsh is notable for going back to college after winning Super Bowls.
Bill Walsh has been the answer to the Aflac trivia question for every UNC game this season. Things like "when's the last time a Super Bowl winning head coached faced a national championship winning head coach?" and the answer is Stanford vs USC, i.e. two teams I don't care about. IRRELEVANT.
Thanks Christopher!

“For those who remember…Sam Jackson V.” I had put a fair amount of effort into forgetting. Thanks.
This is a typical game we should win and blowout....but but but but but wait there's more.

Is this the first team Cal will play in the Wilcox era where both QB1 and QB2 are left-handed?

No National Championship for Bill Walsh, correct?
Go Bears!
And ... DOOM ... Demon and TE Johnson sound like our prototypical kryptonite!
No way: "The Cal defensive line should be able to overwhelm UNC’s offensive line."
To borrow a phrase, gruesome.
