Great article by Ohio Bear. I thought there might have been earlier coverage, particularly when he won an extra hole victory over Justin Thomas at Muirfield, but maybe there was and I missed it.
By the way, Cal Men's Golf has been the gold standard for non-revenue sports financially. Yes, their roster is significantly smaller, but they have been able to be mostly self-sufficient (there was also a report of a small net positive in revenue for the program at one point) thanks to a significant endowment and other means. There was even an NYTimes article on the Cal program several years back. https://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/06/sports/golf/cal-mens-golf-team-plays-and-pays-own-way-to-top.html

Among the post match interviewers was Steph Curry. Haven’t figured out how to link to the video, but it’s on ESPN.

Fun fact that the Arizona State men's golf coach tweeted about today: Morikawa is now the reigning PGA champion *and* reigning Pac-12 champion!
Nice write up! I don’t watch golf too often, but I feel very lucky that I happened to see this all live. Credit to GF for being a golf fan.
