For the first time in over four years, the Bears have prevailed in a rockfight
The streak is over! No, I’m not talking about the losing streak in one-score games. Or the losing streak to ASU. Instead, our losing streak in Rockfights has finally come to an end. Although the early Wilcox teams made a name for themselves by dragging superior opponents into rockfights and bludgeoning them to death in a defensive slugfest, recent Wilcox teams have struggled mightily in rockfights by allowing inferior opponents to upset the Bears. The last rockfight win was the 2019 win over North Texas (which capped three consecutive rockfights to open the 2019 season—all wins). Since then Cal has gone 0-5 in rockfights. Well no more, we have finally prevailed in a rockfight!
