This has been an unpredictable and unprecedented season for Cal football. New opponents, excruating new ways to lose seemingly winnable games, an entirely new category in this series to classify those excruciating losses. Saturday turned into another unpredictable result: after four consecutive single-possession losses, the Bears turned in their second-most lopsided win of the Wilcox Era (the most lopsided is the 49-7 win over Oregon State in 2018). This was no top-ten Miami team, so it was abundantly clear Cal would cruise to an easy victory before the first half ended. Likewise, it was abundantly clear which of our five categories this game would land in based on the PFF grades.
