You can learn something from every game of football, whether it’s a taught thriller, an FCS game, or alas, a blowout.

This isn’t going to be super fun to dive into, but Cal’s performance against UW crystallized the limitations of this team even with all of the off-season changes made in an attempt to prepare this team to compete with the kind of talent and cohesion UW displayed on Saturday.

And, as an obvious spoiler alert to give you some good news, ASU is very much not a Washington. Phew.
