After his third straight excellent round of golf, Collin Morikawa is in pole position at Riviera to potentially capture his second PGA Championship. A four-under 67 third round was enough to move him into a tie for first.
Morikawa is tied at -15 with Xander Schauffele in the final group. But there are 15 golfers within five shots of the lead, and Riviera Valhalla lends itself to low rounds. You could see plenty of movement this Sunday and it’s far from certain who will actually lift the Wanamaker Trophy.
Byeong Hun An and Max Homa are also on the course, but are pretty far off the pace. Hopefully they can post some low rounds and boost their earnings from this tournament.
Tee time is 11:35 AM Pacific. All coverage should be on CBS and Paramount.
Still no birdies, and now a bogey. Will finish top ten, but pretty disappointing given where he started.
Too many missed putts again, bummer. Collin's four back now, need a run now.
Collin holding steady but needs some birdies soon. Still in the top 3.
Correction: the tournament is being played at Valhalla in Louisville. Collin wearing blue today so that’s a good sign.
