Watching Wilcox in his press conference yesterday tells us that he is planning to hire the new OC and OL coaches after Saturday and that's great. I'm deathly afraid he will make a conservative hire, another less than creative and energetic hire. If the program needs anything right now, it's a fired up set of coaches who will turn things on their head and get the most from our talent. I'm sure he gets the importance of the hire, I'm not sure he is willing to be that bold or aggressive.
I must disagree, Bob. Plummer has a ceiling, as has been mentioned, and will not take us to new levels or even to previous high water marks of the Wilcoxian era. Moreover, letting MIlner and Mendoza sit on the bench with no more reps than a Milner's good showing in garbage time just makes the transfer portal look good for our back up talent. Notice Furd has a QB rotation? How many three-n-outs before we decide Plummer's cold, let's play the back ups?
