OK, I will admit that I was hoping for a strong finish to at least get us to the NIT. However, this season has been light years ahead of the dumpster fire that was Cal Basketball under Mark Fox. I find myself being genuinely interested in Cal Basketball again. Mad Dog is definitely the right fit for Cal, provided we can hold on to him. GO BEARS!!!!!!
this game reminded me of playing Arizona. A bad match up and we had no chance. Two bigs who can shoot, where our D cannot stop 1 big who can shoot. Two bigs playing D means rebounds and shot blocking, particularly against our shorter lineup.
I was at the game and among the 20 or so Cal Strong. I'm not an expert in basketball, but my takeaway was that Bears just seemed to miss a lot of shots, and Utah played good defense. It's a new coach. We'll get them next time.
Waitaminute, there is no next time.
btw this transfer portal or paying players business or something seems to have resulted in our team being stacked with players that graduated from other schools and are in an "entrepreneurship" program. I'm guessing that is not akin to getting a Haas MBA or masters in economics? Is this also the case at most schools?

Guys played hard until the end.

Defense was not good and the size killed the bears. Vibe is the key to the Bears , this guy needs to get more consistent.
