His swing is so so so pretty. Not replicable (by me) but man, it's a thing of beauty. With him and Max Homa - the future of Cal golf alumni looks super bright.
I added the highlights from the PGA YouTube channel to the post. It would be interesting to see how well Collin fare next week at the same site, although my understanding from the broadcast is that some of the hole placements will change.
It's a combination of me not traveling as much (or just simply have other plans around town) and the fact that we have a Golden Bear in contention just about every weekend that I have watched more non-major PGA golf so far this summer than ever before.
I saw that they teed off early today and checked the scores online. When I saw that Morikawa won I made sure I was home to see the end on TV (delayed on CBS). The putt on 18 in the final round was scary. Good for Collin.
Pretty much. James Hahn, who is still active but missed the cut last weekend, won a PGA event in 2015 to be the first Cal alum to do that. He has since won another event. Also since 2015, Max Homa and Michael Kim (a pair of former Cal teammates who are also still active) have also won a PGA event apiece.
Ben An is another Cal guy on the PGA currently. He is definitely good enough to win a PGA event but has not done so. Bradon Hagy has also played in some PGA events (like a week ago) while KK Limbhasut, Morikawa's Cal teammate, should graduate into the PGA tour in the near future.
Before all of these guys, Charlie Wi was probably the top Cal alum in the PGA. He has 9 international victories but none in the PGA. I think Wi is also still active.
Anyhow, we're easily in the Golden age of Golden Bears on the PGA Tour right now.
Ben An has come close on the PGA TOUR, losing twice in playoffs, including a couple of years ago at the same course Collin just won at (but in the Memorial Tournament). He's won once on the European Tour and, of course, is a former U.S. Amateur champion.
I think Morikawa at 13th in the world right now is very likely an all-time high. But one can search http://www.owgr.com/ for a player's top ranking. Byeong-hun (Ben) An's best ranking was 24th, James Hahn's top ranking was 52nd, Max Homa's top ranking was 67th, and Charlie Wi's best ranking was 82nd.

That was some clutch golf! Numerous times he could have said “next time,” but he stuck with it!

I think I heard them say his first win was also on a Nicklaus course.
Yup, it was at Montreaux in Reno (Barracuda Championship) . That tournament is moving to another course this year, also designed by Nicklaus
