Weird ending where Ole Miss was awarded a safety but one second remained. Georgia recovers on-side free kick and then tries a dozen laterals, one of them a forward one, and eventually they get tackled anyway so penalty moot. But, man, crazy ending. I hope the drivers of the postgame ceremony stage are getting paid well.

Don’t usually root for SEC teams but it’s tough when they play each other.

Good for Ole Miss. F Lane Kiffin and Cal owns them anyways.

Now that the Sugar Bowl is FINALLY over, we know bye teams are 1-7 under the new system.

IU dominated, humiliated, and emasculated bama. I am blown away by it. I also loved it. Round the bowl and down the hole roll tide roll!

Ole miss receiver pushed off on that 2 point play, but refs not throwing flags in any of these games today. Seems like there was a decision to let a lot of things go unless egregious

Question: if the Portal opens at midnight ET and the Sugar Bowl goes into OT, could some of the players on the field transfer before the game ends? Just change jerseys/helmets adn line up for the other team? hahahaha

I note three things about Indiana's performance in the Rose Bowl.

They came out persistent and focused after the long lay-off.

Even leading 38-3 they were still playing hard.

Not one time in that three-hour beatdown of Alabama did Coach Cignetti ever smile!

All signs of a potential dynasty.

Definitely avoided the issues bye teams had last year.

Cal always in the playoff storylines, never in the playoffs. Here's to that changing for the better in 2026!

Current Cal HC delivers a shut-out and former Cal QB dominates Alabama.

What's our Cal story for Ole Miss - Georgia game?

Mendoza also delivered a Cal reference in his post-game interview (reference OR DC Lupoi as new Cal head coach).

OldSoCalBear's avatar

if you told me two years ago that Mendoza would win the Rose Bowl, I would’ve been really happy

"Neither of these teams have a Cal transfer, so they can't win the Natty"

SEC Shorts is gonna be spiiiiicy!

hopefully they will be eating their shorts

Love it that Alabama and its front runner fans are being smoked by Indiana. They so richly deserve this harsh treatment

Indiana Mendozas

Two years ago, DeBoer was the hottest coach in the country which is why he got the Alabama job. Now Alabama fans will be calling for his scalp. How quickly things can change in college football.

The SEC is getting exposed. Harder to get into the Final Four when you are not selected by ESPN.

I know Cignetti never takes his foot off the gas, but I think it's time for the other Mendoza to take snaps. Can't afford to have any freak injuries.

bluehenbear's avatar

I wonder if deboer survives this.

FiatSlug's avatar

I also wonder the same thing.

Another argument that a 3 loss team has no place in the CFP

Fernando will be the No 1 pick - no question after this game.

Big Dog's avatar

don't overlook the Raiders chance to screw it up

He really wants to go to Miami. Some deals may be made between pro team execs and owners. We shall see.

FromCtoShining(Blue)C's avatar

For his sake, I'd rather he go somewhere other than the Raiders.

KetamineCal's avatar

Raiders' OL will remind him of Cal. It's bad.

Giants, yes, but Jets.....hmmmmmm
