I will always miss getting to cover Pac-12 Football Media Day and Cal hoops at UCLA/USC. With that said, I should go visit my family in Raleigh and catch the hoops tourney one of these years.

In the 90s I did some newspaper ad sales training in Huntsville, Alabama, and did a little impromptu riff on Tide Pride vs. Cal Golden Bear Territory. A young lady in the back row raised her hand. I acknowledged her and she asked, “Did you say Gummy Bears?!”
When we lived in North Carolina (20 years ago), the ACC Tournament was THE thing. UNC and Duke radio teams broadcast every game - not just the UNC and Duke games. Televisions were in every office lobby tuned to the tournament - again all the games. This was before an ACC network and was over the air rather than cable.
Pretty sure many many computer monitors in NC had the full tournament on during office hours of ACC Tournament last week (plus the office TVs of course). In our Atlanta office, it is a race to best conference room to screen ACC vs SEC tournament games. There are usually a few people "working" in those rooms during their games.
